“Concern and Self-Centeredness”
I believe we must never trample on someone’s heart in the name of “worry.”
When we do that, it’s no longer concern—it’s just being self-centered.
Yet, in Japan, we are often told, “Don’t make me worry!”
Does that mean the person causing the worry is also being selfish?
Perhaps it’s a case of “six of one, half a dozen of the other.”
I feel like I’ve experienced both sides of that struggle.
In the end, I wonder if the only thing that truly matters is “limitless compassion.”
